Fisheries and Marine Development Reporting Profile in the Kaltim Post Newspaper Period 1 July – 31 December 2020

This study aims to determine the frequency of news on fisheries development published in the Kaltim Post Newspaper from 1 July to 31 December 2020 based on Regional Origin, Main Topics, News Layout Patterns, News Volume, Reviewing Opinions of Experts and Academics, Expert Practitioners' Opinions. Or Journalism Expert Print Media. The sampling method used is the Census Method and purposive sampling by taking a sample of News in the Period 1 July – 31 December 2020, interviewing 3 Fisheries Experts, 1 Bureaucrat of the Fisheries and Marine Service of East Kalimantan Province, and 1 Journalist. The data analysis method used is News Frequency and Expert Opinion.

The results of this study indicate that the appearance of news is 266. Dominated in December 58 News, Frequency of Originated from Balikpapan 64 News (24.06%), 255 news group (95.90%), Non-Headlines Layout 199 News, Topics of News Conservation of Nature Protection and Ecotourism 63 (23.68%), Loaded Fishery News Volume (84,338cm), News Volume Based on December Area 19,288cm (22.87%), Balikpapan Dominated Area Volume 19,406cm (23.01%), Non-Headline Layout Volume 63.204cm (74,94%), Type of Article Nomination Area News 79,102cm (93.72%), Volume of Main Topic News Conservation of Nature Protection 22,133cm (26.24%)

Based on the Expert Opinion of Fisheries Academics and Bureaucracy, the news profile uses easy-to-understand language, the written material has a scientific concept, does not deviate, the data presented is not relevant, the news sources are clearly listed, the news is dominated by mixing facts and opinions, preferably the content contained in news is for optimizing employment absorption, and the provision of animal protein sources for public consumption, coastal community income, based on expert opinions. and using regional languages, media experts also argue that the news presentation in the number of columns is sufficient. The size of the letters presented is already standard news.

Analysis Of Fish Farming Business In Cages In Rebaq Rinding Village, Muara Muntai Sub-District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency

The of this study are to determine the cost, revenue, income and revenue cost rasio. This study was carried out from august 2021 to september 2021. The sample taken was 36 respondents consisting of 2 commodities, common carp and tilapia. The sampling method used is census. The data analysis method used is income analysis and revenue cost rasio. The results showed that the profit from the fish farming business in cages in Rebaq Rinding Village averaged Rp. 2.875.714/Harvest for common carp dan tilapia averaged Rp. 1.585.912/Harvest. The ratio value of fish farming businesses in cages in Rebaq Rinding Village averages 1,5.

Analysis Of The Economic Performance Of The Smoked baung (Hemibagrus nemurus) Fish Processing Business In The Kota Bangun Sub-District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency

The smoked fish processing business is an effort to increase the added value of the product. The purpose of this study is to find out the cost, receipts, income, break-even point and the ratio of receipts and costs. This research was carried out from January to June 2022. The sample taken was 4 respondents. The data analysis method used is the analysis of income and the ratio of receipts and costs. The results showed that the average total cost of the baung fish processing business was IDR 11,104,250 and the average receipt from the baung fish processing business was IDR 13,605,000 / month and the income from the smoked baung fish processing business in Kota Bangun District averaged IDR 2,500,750 / month. The ratio value of the smoked baung fish processing business in Kota Bangun District is 1.2.

The purpose of this study was to determine the institutional pattern of Punggawa and Fish Traders at PPI. Selili. Knowing the formulation of development strategies based on SWOT analysis, by identifying internal and external factors, IFAS and EFAS, strategy diagrams, and alternative strategies. This research was conducted from October 2021 to September 2022. Types of research research data using descriptive quantitative data and primary data obtained by interviews using questionnaire. The result of this research is the pattern of Punggawa and Fish Traders at the Fish Landing Base (PPI) Selili, which are agents and retailers as a component of fish marketing distribution, all of which are distributed through a trading system. The distribution channel for fish marketing begins with Punggawa who buys fish from collectors and is marketed within the PPI., then Fish Traders who buy fish from Punggawa and re-market outside the PPI. The formulation of the development strategy based on SWOT analysis, obtained the results of a strength value of 0.557 and an opportunity value of 0.701. then occupy the position of quadrant I carrying the strategy (S-O) which is aggressive by maximizing strengths and opportunities.

The purpose of the study was to determine the feasibility of fish farming in cages and the level of welfare of the farming community. This research was conducted in Kelumpang Village, West Kutai Regency. A total of 22 fish farmers were selected as respondents using a purposive sampling method. The method of analysis used an analysis of fish cultivators' business and exchange rates. The results of this study indicate that the average income obtained from fish farming in cages is Rs. 1.950.701.047,-/year. The welfare level of cultivators shows an NTPi value of 2.6 for household income of fish cultivators and an NTPi value of 0.65 for income from fishery products, which illustrates a very good level of cultivator welfare

Description of the visit of fishing vessels at the port of PPI Tanjung Limau, Bontang City

The purpose of this study is to find out the types of ship specifications, types of fishing gear, fishermen's catches and facilities at the PPI Tanjung Limau Port, Bontang City. Primary data were taken in March 2022, sampling using the purposive sampling method with a total sample of 30 respondents. The research data were analyzed by analytical descriptive qualitative methods. The results showed that the specifications of fishing ships have Grosee Tone (GT) ranging from 1 - 30 GT with the types of engines used are Mitsubishi, Domfeng and Jhiandong. The types of fishing gear used by fishermen are serok, tonda fishing rod, purse seine, transporter, swamp fishing rod, and gill net. The types of fish caught are skipjack tuna, kite fish, bawis fish and snapper. The fisheries facilities at PPI Tanjung Limau consist of 3 classification sections, namely basic facilities, functional facilities and supporting facilities.

Nunukan District, including Sebatik Island, is extremely potential for seaweed growth as the stretch of coastline with the rocky and sandy seabed as well as protected and relatively calm water areas strongly support the seaweed cultivation business. Each business that is undertaken expends some costs to make the marketing activities result in revenue. This study aimed to calculate the Revenue Cost Ratio among seaweed collector traders and describe the marketing channel of seaweed cultivation in Binalawan village, West Sebatik sub- district, Nunukan district. This study used a census method (saturated) and a snowball sampling technique. The data analysis was done using the Revenue Cost Ratio as well as the marketing channel. The result of the analysis of the Revenue Cost Ratio or R/C was 1.45 and the marketing channel formed a two- level channel.

The purpose of this research was to know the stages of sangkuriang catfish hatchery and to calculate performance of economic business sangkuriang catfish hatchery based on a eligibility analysis which cover; Revenue Cost Ratio (RCR), Price Point Break Event, Sales Point Break Event, Production Point Break Event, Payback Period, and Return On Investment. This research was conducted from July 2021 to February 2022. The type of research data using quantitative data and primary data obtained by interview using questionnaires. The research showed that value of RCR = 4.25, break even point of price in amount of Rp. 101/tail < actual price in amount of Rp. 450/tail, break even point of sales in amount of Rp. 694,705/month < actual sales in amount Rp. 39,000,000/month, break even point of quantity in amount of 1,951 tail/month < quantity in amount of 90,000 tail/month, payback period for 11 months 24 days, and results of ROI analysis obtained amount 93.25%. The results analysis performance of economic indicate that business of sangkuriang catfish hatchery business in CV. Sumber Rezeki profitable and feasible to do.

The Group Dynamics of Fish Farmers in Juata Laut Urban Village, North Tarakan, Tarakan

This study aimed to identify the profile of fish farmer groups in Juata Laut Urban Village and the level of group dynamics among fish farmers in Juata Laut Urban Village. This study was conducted from July 2022 to May 2023 in Juata Laut Urban Village, North Tarakan, Tarakan. The sample size was 20 respondents using a purposive sampling method. The findings showed that the profile characteristics of fish farmer groups consisted of 5 groups that were formed in 2019, 2020, and 2021 with a different number of members in each group starting from 7 to 15 members and the majority of them were Muslims. The age of whole members in the groups of fish farmers was around 29 to 58 years old. The type of fishing gear used by the groups of fish farmers consisted of 2 different types, namely trawls and gill nets. The level of group dynamics among fish farmers in Juata Laut urban village was categorized as dynamic whereby the group of fish farmers with an estimated score of 63.01 – 81.00; cumulatively, the average score of each group is as follows: 76.5 for Perdana, 72 for Mega Lestari, 76.5 for Imbaya, 72.5 for Intimung, and 74.4for Berkah.

The purpose of this research is to analyze the profits of the dogol fishery business in Muara Telake Village, Longkali District, Paser Regency. Sampling using the census method. With the number of respondents as many as 30 people, the data analysis method uses business cost analysis, revenue analysis and profit analysis. According to the results of the analysis of the average operating costs incurred Rp.10.375,000/per month/respondent, the average revenue is Rp.16,800,000/per month/respondent and an average profit of Rp.6.425,000/permonth/respondent.

The purpose of this study is to determine the amount of income and analyze the impact of the pandemic before and during Covid-19 on tilapia farmers in floating net karamba. There were 15 respondents studied in this study. Data analysis of the study obtained the final results, namely the average income of cultivators was Rp. 23,737,861 during Covid-19 and Rp. 34,752,681 before Covid-19. The final result of income can be explained that the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has an effect on reducing the income of cultivators. The research was conducted with the aim of analyzing and describing how the GEMARIKAN program innovation communication process in Tanjung Redeb Village. The research was carried out for 12 months from November 2021 to October 2022 in the Tanjung Redeb Village, Berau Regency. The sampling method used was purposive sampling method with 17 respondents. The analytical method uses a qualitative descriptive analysis with a case study approach. The focus of this research is the 4 elements of innovation diffusion, namely innovation with the stages of knowledge, persuasion and decision, implementation, and confirmation, as well as communication channels, timeframe, and social systems. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and review of document contents. The stages of innovation in the process of adopting innovation are: The stage of public knowledge acquires knowledge through socialization. The most effective approach to the persuasion stage is the approach through fish processing training. In the implementation phase, the community implements the GEMARIKAN program by making processed fishery products. In the confirmation stage, the entire community implements the GEMARIKAN program. Communication channels, the majority of people use interpersonal media. The social system of the majority of people is included in the Early Majority recipient group.
